'Battlefield 1' Latest Patch, News Update: New & Tweaked Maps, 'Fog Of War' Custom Game Mode, Battlefest Event To Come In Newest Update

New things are slated to come this month in "Battlefield 1." The first-person shooter game will get a slew of new features for its latest update, including the premiere of the new custom game mode, "Fog of War" during the commencement of upcoming Battlefest event.

Rolling Stone reports that "Battlefield 1" developer, EA DICE, announced that the WWI-set game will have new additions and gameplay tweaks catering to what players requested the most. One of the few things to be added is "Battlefield 1" Hardcore Servers for players who are in constant need of an extra challenge.

Further, there will be revisions to be anticipated in the Suez map. As requested by players, the Suez map tweak will be about its layout in Conquest. This is to ensure that future matches in "Battlefield 1" are balanced and for the Suez map size to be more fitting.

From its current three flags, the Suez map will be upgraded into five counts. To make the gaming experience more dynamic than ever, the capture area size of control points in the "Battlefield 1" map will also be changed. Each of the teams will also be given an armored vehicle for winning teams to traverse swiftly across the map.

Moreover, DICE will be introducing its latest custom game mode, "Fog of War" as the Battlefest event starts on Nov. 16. "Fog of War" will be a Team Deathmatch experience made more challenging as players get to fight in a thick fog using only a mini map. To make the custom game mode even more exciting, soldiers' tags will be disabled all throughout the game mode.

Aside from "Fog of War", Battlefest will be bringing more rewards, activities, Battlepack revision, community missions among others. Additionally, "Battlefield 1" will be introducing another map anew, this coming December.

Giant's Shadow map will be part of the December free update. Based on the official website of "Battlefield 1", Giant's Shadow map will be set during the Battle of Selle in 1918. The gaming company will further announce more information regarding the new map in the coming days.
