‘Wonder Woman’ Release Date, Spoilers, Trailer: What Sets Her Apart From Other Heroes?

America reveals their secret weapon, "Wonder Woman" in the quest to emerge victorious in a war as DC's newest superhero in its extended universe. The movie is set for release on June 2017.

Yahoo features the release of the anticipated movie trailer that reveals why and how Diana slash Wonder woman became the lethal weapon of American troops in the crossfire of World War I.

Before she became "Wonder Woman," she was Diana, portrayed by actress Gal Gadot, an Amazon princess who was raised and trained to become an undefeatable warrior. Diana was born and nurtured in the depths of the woods of an island that was her paradise. The trailer takes us on tour of Diana's home, Themyscira, an island wholly inhabited by Amazon women.

Themyscira's peace was broken by the crash of an American plane and its pilot fighter Steve Trevor portrayed by actor Chris Pine. Upon his recovery, the pilot tells Diana and her tribe about the war consuming the rest of the world. The Amazons dismissed him and refused to take part in a war that is not of their own.

Diana, who revered her duty to defend her home, decided to side with Trevor and agreed to fight and put the war to an end. Diana leaves Themyscira to fight beside American troops.

The trailer shows Diana, now "Wonder Woman," very much humored by the current centuries' fashion tastes as she fits her corset combat dress. She bickers that the outfit is but limiting. But her bullet dodging bracelets, her Sword of Athena and Lasso of Truth coupled with the warrior princess' unmatched combat skills proved to be her allies' edge in the war.

Disguised as Trevor's secretary, Diana transforms to "Wonder Woman" on the battlefield. Internet Movie Database tells the movie starts with a flashback, with the present day Diana looking back to her idealistic self. The immortal princess fights the war and discovers her true destiny. Sounds interesting, right?
