'Black Mirror' Season 3 News, Updates, Recap: Stars Answer Questions About The Sci-fi Series

"Black Mirror" Season 3 was released on Netflix on Oct. 21, and the internet world has been abuzz with the themes and twists presented by the six episodes of the season 3. Charlie Brooker, series creator and writer, along with stars Alice Eve, Bryce Dallas Howard and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, revealed some of their reactions to the show's episodes.

 Ever since "Black Mirror" was first aired, it aimed to reflect the dark side of the society. In its newest season, "Black Mirror" season 3 centered on themes such as social media popularity, virtual reality games, and even the afterlife.

One episode in "Black Mirror" season 3, entitled "Nosedive", stars Bryce Dallas Howard and Alice Eve in a world where people are ranked according to social media popularity. Howard plays Lacie who is obsessed with getting a higher approval rating in order to move into a more exclusive house. She does crazy antics to get the higher rating until at the end of the episode, she realizes the futility of her efforts and becomes ineligible to be ranked.

Actress Bryce Dallas Howard in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, claims that Lacie's ending in "Black Mirror" season 3 is cathartic. Despite ending up in prison, she has become fearless and free.

Another popular episode in "Black Mirror" season 3 is "San Junipero". According to Nerdist, when the stars were asked which reality in "Black Mirror" they would like to live in, most of them answered "San Junipero".

The episode, which deals with how residents of earth are able to store their memories in a virtual reality system after they die. It was not only the concept of an afterlife that was dealt but also same-sex marriage, which caused the episode to be popular.
