‘Left 4 Dead’s’ Unfinished Campaign Version Free For Download Now

The epic FPS (First Person Shooter) "Left 4 Dead" has finally released an unfinished campaign mission, announced by one of its developers, Turtle Rock Studios. The unfinished campaign mission of the game is currently being offered as a free DLC for those who still have a copy of the game.

The announced unfinished campaign mission, however, has a couple of glitches, according to DAM IT. Some of the known game issues are the following: "Fire, smoke, and explosions do not trigger panic events in the hangars, Zombies do not crawl all the time in the orchard, Farmhouse mob does not spawn on the far side of the woods, Covered bridge does not collapse with explosions, Burned forest area is missing wandering fires." So the experience won't be as great as a complete version.

The story begins in the state of Pennsylvania where an outbreak of a highly contagious pathogen called the "Green Flu" infects the majority of the population leaving four survivors. The player will be given four roles to choose from: an IT analyst named Louis, Zoey who's just a college student, an Outlaw Biker who goes by Francis, and William "Bill" Overbeck who's a Vietnam War veteran. The four immune citizens must fight their way thru hoard of zombies and monsters throughout the city in search of sanctuary.

"Left 4 Dead" was released eight years ago by Valve and Electronic Arts. The game as recognized as the seventh top-selling game a month after it was launch in November 2008. The game sold a total of 3 million copies worldwide by September 2009 based on a press release by its publisher Valve. Other awards for the game includes the following: "The Best Multiplayer Game of The Year from IGN, GameSpy, BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts), SpikeTV and No Frag," "Best Use of Sound for the PC and Best Shooting Game Overall also from IGN," "Best Cooperative Multiplayer and Shooter from Gamespot," "Outstanding Achievement in Online Gameplay from the AIAS (Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences)" and "Father of All FPS from No Frag."

"Left 4 Dead" no doubt has been one of the best first person shooter during its time. The graphics, sounds and gameplay were ahead of its time. Another thing was multiplayer, which really promotes cooperation between players. The unfinished campaign of the game can be considered as a collectible DLC.
