'Iron Man 4' Officially Denied By Marvel Studios, Doing Reboot Instead; Robert Downey Jr.'s Glory Days Are Up?

Could there be a chance that Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his iconic role as Tony Stark in "Iron Man 4?" Previous reports are torn about the actor's involvement in the rumored fourth installment with many claiming that his return could be highly improbable.

Another cause of concern is the mere status of "Iron Man 4." While the clamor for the flick is undeniably high, Marvel Studios execs will not exactly jump in and make the movie just because of the hype.

As fans already know, Marvel Studios has already planned the movies that will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Unless they intended "Iron Man 4" to be part of the MCU, there could be a slim chance for a Tony Stark standalone movie to hit theaters.

Rumors are also rife that an "Iron Man 4" without RDJ can happen. As previous reports speculated, Marvel and RDJ have failed to agree on the actor's hefty paycheck, causing the uncertainty of the new movie.

As Movie News Guide recently reported, "Iron Man 4" has been officially denied by Marvel exec Kevin Feige. As the outlet reported, Feige claimed that the role of RDJ in "Iron Man" could be likened to Spider-Man and James Bond wherein other actors can eventually take on the role.

Despite the alleged statement from Feige, the publication still speculated that RDJ can still be a strong contender for "Iron Man 4" should it get green lit. As all fans could agree, no one can do more justice to the role than RDJ himself.
