Will Smith's father, Willard Carroll Smith, has recently passed away. The news was first shared by her ex-wife Sheree Fletcher on her Instagram account.

Fletcher shared a photo on Instagram that shows Will Smith together with his father and their son Trey. The photo includes a caption which is filled with praises and admiration for Smith's father.

Smith's father was a refrigerator engineer in West Philadelphia. He had four children with Caroline Bright. However, they were divorced in 2000.

Smith's ex-wife may have shared her feelings about the passing of Willard but Will Smith has not yet given any public statement or comment on the matter. Fletcher and Smith were married for three years from 1992 to 1995. They have a son named Trey who is currently 23 years old.
