‘Supernatural’ Season 12 Cancellation News: Are The Ratings Enough To Score A Renewal From The CW? [SPOILERS]

"Supernatural" Season 12 is currently airing on The CW with new villains and twists and turns in the story of the Winchester brothers. The show is one of the longest running dramas on the network, but is the show still able to live on for more seasons and score renewals from the network? How did it fare in the ratings?

This article contains spoilers. Read on if you want to learn more about the details of this story.

"Supernatural" Season 12 is currently on its fifth episode following the shocking cliffhanger from the Season 11 finale. The last season of the series saw the return of Mary Winchester years after she was taken someplace else in front of her children, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles).

This plot definitely brought something new to the table, which made many fans look forward to "Supernatural" Season 12. Spoilers reveal, however, that Mary would be gone from the show after realizing how much times have changed and how she is affecting her two sons.

This made a lot of viewers wonder if "Supernatural" Season 12 will be the last on The CW. As most fans know, a show's ratings often indicate whether it will score a renewal order from the network.

"Supernatural" Season 12 has reportedly stayed strong in ratings, which makes it easier to predict that it will be renewed for Season 13, reports TV by the Numbers. As a network executive previously stated, the show will go on as long Padalecki and Ackles are willing to return.

"Supernatural" Season 12 spoilers from TV Guide also tease that in episode 6 titled "Celebrating the Life of Asa Fox," Sam and Dean, together with their mom, will be battling with a demon.

This demon will reportedly go after hunters in "Supernatural" Season 12 episode 6. This will take place during the celebration of a late hunter.
