More Bonuses In ‘Pokemon Go’ Update; But Cause Problems To Gameplay

Fans of the mobile game became angry with game development company Niantic when the new update caused problems to gameplay drastically. Although "Pokemon Go" update includes more bonuses in gym, it has brought about unwanted additions to the viral app.

The recent update patch has changed the prestige level on gym training allowing players to earn less on points when battling against PokeGyms that belong to their team. "Pokemon Go" so-called prestige level has dropped dramatically. This is also a great disadvantage when opposing teams conquer PokeGyms.

The only positive note to this situation is when players knock out the gym leader. Niantic Inc. said that the new "Pokemon Go" update will give players a sure chance to capture an opposing gym. The intrusion of another player who wants to take over the newly claimed PokeGym is no longer tolerated.

The changes in the "Pokemon Go" update will also suit strong players of "Pokemon Go" because they could easily take down gyms to lower levels and then get more turnovers in the process. This would in turn persuade less competitive players to travel to gyms, adding more depth and challenge to the game.

Overall, the current fans of "Pokemon Go" gave different reasons why the update mostly infuriated them. A lot of gamers spin Pokestops while driving because some places have very few Pokestops, while others don't bother walking around outside when the weather gets cold, pointing out the importance of PokeGyms.

The "Pokemon Go" developer Niantic didn't take these things into consideration and went ahead with the update without communicating first with their Pokemon user base. Other unnecessary features like being able to buy stuff at the "Pokemon Go" store while driving irritated even more players.

Niantic has also come under scrutiny for not bringing other features to the game that was promised months ago. The company needs to attract more players in order to expand the "Pokemon Go" universe and bringing unnecessary updates to the table is not the right way to move forward.

"Pokemon Go" became a worldwide phenomenon when it came out and made mobile games socially interactive again. Video game analysts are saying that Niantic still has a long way to go to top the success of their first outing with the Japanese video game.
