Conor McGregor UFC News: 'The Notorious' An Epitome Of A Fighting Irish But Why Does Everybody Love To Hate The Champ?

Love him or hate him, Conor McGregor is here and he is here to stay. While some fans think of "The Notorious" as, well, notoriously arrogant, vulgar and brazen to the point of no return, Irishmen think of him as a status symbol - Conor McGregor is the epitome of a fighting Irish.

Learning the ropes of Mixed Martial Arts is a feat of its own. Entering the octagon whilst striding to your favorite music with thousands of fans cheering and sneering is another story. The Ultimate Fighting Championship takes fighters from all over the world and places them in an eight-cornered ring. After that, it's every man for himself in a battle for survival, honor and pride.

Conor McGregor can best be considered as an Alpha Male in the packed featherweight division. The 28-year-old native of Dublin, Ireland is, whether we like it or not, a threat. Conor McGregor is a legitimate contender with the ability to dominate and intimidate, which is also why some describe him as a villain that only looks after himself and his country. His exploits with Jose Aldo and Nate Diaz will speak volumes, and will probably go down in UFC history. There is, however, a mountain in front of McGregor in the form of Eddie Alvarez.

On November 12th, Conor McGregor (20-3-17 KOs) will go one on one with Alvarez (28-4-15KOs) for the UFC Lightweight Championship. This may seem to be a match made in UFC heaven, but fans know that McGregor will have his hands full. Alvarez is riding on a three-fight winning streak, the last being against Rafael dos Anjos. "The Notorious" on the other hand had two fights this year against Nate Diaz, and we all know how did it went down.

We will still see Conor McGregor in his signature tux, dark shades and flamboyant demeanor when D-Day draws near. Profanities will fly, taunts will come out of nowhere; it's just "The Notorious" being "The Notorious."
