“Titanfall 2” News & Updates: Patch Upgrade To Balance The Game Or To Fix Bugs? What Was Changed By Respawn Entertainment?

Respawn Entertainment added a patch upgrade to "Titanfall 2," after receiving a lot of positive feedback from the gaming community. Patch upgrades have also been received rather quickly shortly after release to balance the game. The catch? Respawn Entertainment won't say how or what they're balancing.

What did Respawn Entertainment change?

According to a Reddit thread posted in the community for "Titanfall 2," the gamers were informed of the rebalancing but not exactly how or what has been re-balanced. The titans on "Titanfall 2" including the weapons and more have received the treatment but developers aren't saying why. According to Respawn Entertainment reps, they want people to feel it out the patch upgrades.

"Titanfall 2" developers feel that not giving out specific details on the balancing is more natural to the game because giving out numbers and details could color the players' expectations before they even began to play and then they go into the game with a set perception. "We want you to just play and feel it out and let us know if it works," said one community manager in "Titanfall 2" subreddit.

Why was there a need for an upgrade?

What Respawn Entertainment is doing makes sense in a way because all too often we see the hardcore fans debating the numbers in forums, chat boxes, and Reddit threads. Sometimes we find some advanced math taking place in the more heated debates as they try to break down the stat comparisons to supposedly measure their effectiveness.

What Respawn Entertainment did was, in this case, take the math out of the equation and just letting gamers feel out how the Titans and weapons play out in "Titanfall 2." Apart from letting gamers know that the Amped LMG and anti-Titan weapons have been rebalanced along with the Legion Titan and the Tone Titan, they have to actually play the "Titanfall 2" to figure out how everything was re-balanced.
