Mystery Pings In the Arctic Floor Signals The End Of The World? Are Giant Monsters Waking Up?

It's like 2016 is gearing up to be a very harsh year for everyone. Donald Trump has just been elected president of the United States of America and now, we'd have to deal with giant monsters? The mysterious pinging sound in the Arctic floor has baffled everyone and is speculating that it's more sinister than it sounds!

In a channel of water in the Nunavut region in Canada, 75 miles from an Inuit community, a pinging sound can be heard from the Arctic floor. Local residents have said that the mystery pings have scared the wildlife and has greatly affected their hunting.

But it's not just the local residents that have heard the mysterious pings, over the summer, a private yacht has reported to have heard the sound through the ship's hull. This mystery pings have greatly concerned the local authorities and even had Canada's Department of Defense investigate it.

According to the investigation of the Canadian National Defense, who flew in a CP-140 Aurora patrol aircraft, performed multi-sensor searches for an hour and a half to place an origin to the mystery pings, there were no acoustic anomalies detected. Although the investigating crew was not able to find the source of the mystery pings but has observed a pod of whales and six walruses in the area debunking claims of spooked wildlife.

Now with news that Canada's Department of Defense was not able to find anything regarding the mystery pings, local residents are blaming a mine company, Baffinland Iron Mines Corporation, as the origin of the noise made by the sonars used in their survey of the area. However, the company has denied this and has said that there were no planned or ongoing sonar surveys scheduled on the water.

Others have also blamed the organization, Greenpeace, for the cause of the mystery pings. The local residents, especially the Inuit hunters have speculated that the mystery pings were a way for the Greenpeace activists to intentionally scare the wildlife stopping them from hunting it. Just like the mining company, Greenpeace denies the accusation and has issued a statement saying "Not only would we not do anything to harm marine life, but we very much respect the right of the Inuit to hunt and would definitely not want to impact that in any way".

So what could be making the mystery pings? Many from the internet are speculating it's Cthulhu waking up. But according to Lovecraft lore, Cthulhu is sleeping in the fictional city of R'lyeh located around the South Pacific. Or it could be like in the movie, "Pacific Rim", where alien life forms, Kaijus, have been able to breach an inter-dimensional opening in our seafloors.

What do you think? Are we facing an invasion from underwater entities?
