'Blindspot' Season 2 News & Updates: FBI Agent Reade Finds Love! New Character Revealed!

The FBI undercover Jane Doe's loyalty is put to test in "Blindspot" Season 2, Episode 8 after she got caught in a crossfire with her former organization, Sandstorm. Now, speculations are forming about Jane's (Jaimie Alexander) colleague, FBI agent Edgar Reed, and his love life.

According to reports, a new character is going to join the NBC series "Blindspot". TVLine reported that "Blindspot" is in the process of casting a female to play the on-and-off girlfriend of Edgar Reade's friend Freddy.

The American crime drama series "Blindspot" presents a twist in the story after the arrival of Freddy's girlfriend, Niki. In an inside report, Niki turns up on Reade's doorstep asking about Freddy's whereabouts. As a result, Reade gets entangled in a messy fling with Niki which makes the situation more complicated.

"Blindspot" fans can anticipate Niki to appear in Season 2, Episode 13 which is scheduled to air on Jan. 2017. Reports suggest that the new character, Niki, will appear in three more episodes.

In another report, "Blindspot" Season 2, Episode 9 will show Jane Doe's brother Roman facing a very difficult situation. Luke Mitchell who plays the role of Roman is said to hold a gun to her sister Jane's head.

The question is - where does his loyalty lie? With Sandstorm's plan always one step ahead, Jane Doe has become the bait.

In our previous reports, NBC released a short synopsis of the "Blindspot" newest episode. As per usual, NBC only gives a tiny glimpse of the big picture not to give away or ruin the story.
