NBA Trade Rumors: John Wall to the Los Angeles Lakers for Jordan Clarkson?

The Los Angeles Lakers are off to a good start this season currently holding a 5-4 record. The latest trade rumors in the NBA suggest that the Lakers might acquire the Washington Wizards' star point guard, John Wall in exchange for 24-year-old shooting guard, Jordan Clarkson, and possibly another frontcourt player or guard from the Lakers.

The Lakers were anticipated to suffer yet another disappointing season this year, but they have been performing very well thus far in the 2016-17 NBA season. Last year, the Lakers won their fifth game of the season very late in December 2015 to obtain a 5-23 record.

According to Inquisitr, the Lakers are expected to partake in the postseason so it will not come as a surprise if they seek out help from a veteran star. In a separate report by Sportsrageous, it is stated that the Wizards are looking to trade veteran point guard, John Wall before the deadline in February, and it is possible that the Lakers may acquire his service.

Wall and the Wizards are currently struggling in the season with a 2-6 record, after having been defeated by the Cleveland Cavaliers 105-94 on Friday. The Wizards are currently suffering a similar scenario the Lakers experienced last season.

The tandem of Wall and Bradley Beal in the backcourt has not been working too well for the Wizards so far. According to some, one of them has to be traded if the Wizards want to save their season, and it is unlikely that it will be Beal since he is still in his first year of a $126 million deal.

Other than the Lakers, possible teams looking to obtain Wall are the San Antonio Spurs, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Orlando Magic. Arguably, the Lakers is the most attractive option. What do you think? Let us know in the comments section below!
