'Mission: Impossible 6' Cast & Spoilers: Jeremy Renner Might Not Return As William Brandt? Renner Reveals Why

Tom Cruise is coming back as Ethan Hunt for "Mission: Impossible 6" including some of the cast who are set to come back, too. Rebecca Ferguson, who played as Ilsa Faust in "Rogue Nation" is rumored to come back and reprise the role. However, fans favorite Jeremy Renner is not sure about coming back for "Mission: Impossible 6."

Nothing is official yet for "Mission: Impossible 6" but Jeremy Renner's involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe might affect his schedule. "Avengers: Infinity War" is set to be released in 2018, the same year "Mission: Impossible 6" will hit the theaters. Jeremy Renner will be reprising his role as Clint Barton a.k.a. Hawkeye on "Avengers: Infinity War," which means, a conflict of schedule might arise between two movies he might need to work on, according to Cinemablend.

Earlier this year, Jeremy Renner took to Twitter a witty question for writer/director Christopher McQuarrie about "Mission: Impossible 6." Jeremy Renner started a conversation and tagged Chris McQuarrie with "Hey, is the band getting back together? Should I start stretching?" McQuarrie responded with "Wear comfortable pants. You're gonna need 'em."

Jeremy Renner starred as William Brandt in the past two films of the franchise, "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" and "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation." The Twitter conversation was by far the subtle answer to Renner's return as William Brandt for "Mission: Impossible 6."

But the possibility of Renner's comeback for "Mission: Impossible 6" started to be cloudy due to "Avengers: Infinity War" hitting the theaters too in 2018. Renner mentioned in an interview while promoting "Arrival" that he doesn't know what's happening and his talk with Tom Cruise surely implies a conflict with the schedule, according to Slashfilm.

Jeremy Renner will surely have a busy schedule next year. Renner mentioned that "Avengers" will eat up a lot of his time filming. But he hopes it will not get in the way of Tom and him getting back together to "Mission: Impossible 6."

In comparison to "Avengers: Infinity War," "Mission: Impossible 6" will not need as much time to be filmed. The speculation is based on "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" that was released six months earlier than its slated release. If Paramount Pictures will tailor their schedule, the possibility of Jeremy Renner coming back for "Mission: Impossible 6" is highly likely. "Mission: Impossible 6" is set to be released on July 27, 2018.
