Artificial Intelligence Vs. Aging: Simple AI Tool To Predict One’s Age From Blood? See More Aging.AI 2.0 Details Here

Insilico Medicine Inc., a company that focuses on the application of artificial intelligence for aging research and drug discovery, recently launched the latest version of its individual age predictor called Aging.AI 2.0. Aging.AI 2.0 can be accessed on the company's website and is now available to those who wish to participate in the beta testing. The platform requires users to input their blood test values to predict their chronological age.

Aging.AI 2.0 is said to be made with a deep neural network based on a broad number of human blood tests. It allows users to determine their age as well as their gender by just providing 33 blood parameters from their recent blood test, EurekAlert reported. It is important to note, however, that all data that users provide on Aging.AI 2.0 interface will be used for Insilico Medicine's research.

Additionally, the user data from the beta test are also intended to train the artificial intelligence age predictor. Because of this, it is not possible for the company to erase them from the Aging.AI 2.0 system. That said, users who do not wish to allow their personal data to be used freely for research are discouraged to submit their information.

Meanwhile, Aging.AI 2.0 may be able to guess one's chronological age through blood levels but how important is it in determining to age? A report from The Conversation claimed that chronological age, the number of years a person has been alive, is not a good predictor to determine how a person is aging. Biomarkers of aging that could identify age-related changes in one's body functions and composition, according to the report, could predict a person's risk of developing age-related diseases more accurately.

Insilico Medicine's website, however, states that if Aging.AI 2.0 beta test is a success, they may develop another artificial intelligence platform that will let users track changes in their predicted age. These can be used by people who are under health interventions such as diet modification, exercise and supplement intake. In the meantime, check out Insilico Medicine's vision below.
