‘Quantico’ Season 2, Episode 8 Spoilers & Promo: Alex-Ryan Rift Grows, Owen Second-Guesses Himself, Shocking Betrayal Teased

There will be no new episode for "Quantico" viewers in seven days but when Season 2 returns for its eighth episode on Nov. 27, fans will be greeted by a serious relationship drama and an awful betrayal. Here's what in store for the viewers in the upcoming midseason finale.

Episode eight of "Quantico" Season 2 is titled "ODENVY" and will showcase Lydia (Tracy Ifeachor) and Owen (Blair Underwood) teaching the group at the Farm "about the necessity of lying and cutting off relationships," SpoilerTV reported. This resonates to Alex (Priyanka Chopra) because she's feeling detached from Ryan (Jake McLaughlin) in both personal and professional aspects.

In the future, Alex and her companions will try to destroy the biological weapon. The "ODENVY" episode of "Quantico" airs on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 10:00-11:00 PM EST on ABC. Watch the promo below.

CarterMatt speculated that there's more behind the biological weapon storyline of the upcoming episode. The promo for episode eight of "Quantico" Season 2 teased a shocking betrayal, which has been a common occurrence in the series to the point that viewers are almost numb to it by now. Lives, as expected, are at stake.

Alex took a risk in the future by enlisting the help of Dayana (Pearl Thusi), Harry (Russell Tovey), Leon (Aaron Diaz), and Sebastian (David Lim). The question is: does this group of trained liars deserve Alex's trust? After all, some of them could be terrorists and the mission could reveal their true identity. This could be the betrayal mentioned in the "Quantico" Season 2, Episode 8 promo.

Fans of the show know that Owen is in prison in the future. In the torture scene in the previous "Quantico" episode, Owen cracked quickly when Lydia was the one being tortured. Owen wanted to prove something to himself and to Lydia but it backfired, with Lydia giving him hell for caving in hastily.

"Quantico" showrunner and executive producer Josh Safran said that this pivotal moment will "definitely affect" Owen moving forward, Entertainment Weekly reported. Safran won't say if this contributed to Owen ending up in prison but his failure made him contemplate whether he's really "proficient as he thought he was." Episode eight of "Quantico" will explore more of Owen's predicament.

"ODENVY" had scenes between Raina and Nimah (Yasmine Al Massri) that was cut but was put back after the U.S. presidential elections. Safran told TV Guide that the scene was "very powerful" and he thinks that it highlighted "what's wrong with this country right now."
