Donald Trump To Undocumented Immigrants: Go Home Or Go Behind Bars!

Donald Trump, the Republican leader who recently won the US election, might be embracing mass deportation. The President-elect reportedly said in one of his speaking opportunities that he will immediately deport or imprison undocumented immigrants.

According to reports, there are around 3 million undocumented immigrants in the United States. With Donald Trump's plan in mind, what do you think will happen?

President-elect Trump was seen in an election rally in New York. He gave a speech and included this announcement. He warns undocumented immigrants to go home or go behind bars as soon as he takes office.

Trump told CBS that he would launch the largest mass deportation in modern history. This means, that he vows to immediately deport a record-setting number of illegal immigrants which President Barack Obama carried out during his two terms.

Trump specifically said in his interview that he will send people who are criminals or have criminal records, drug dealers or gang members back to their home country. If they refuse, Trump says the US government will incarcerate them. He stresses out that these immigrants are in the country illegally.

The nonpartisan Migration Policy Institute estimated an approximate of 820,000 undocumented immigrants who have criminal records. And by records, these include people whose only conviction is crossing the border illegally. In a prosecutorial discretion guideline, aliens with minor crimes are able to avoid deportation.

Another review showed that majority of the undocumented immigrants have no serious criminal record. Approximately more than 40 percent have no criminal conviction, 18 percent have immigrant-related cases, and only 20 percent or less have criminal convictions which potentially involved violence.

According to reports, Trump's administration will assess its immigration policy to address the pressing issue on illegal immigrants. It is still unclear if he will push through with what he announced noting that deportation cases are often contested in court.

This only means that when Trump sits as the new president of the United States of America, people can expect a rise in deportations. How do you feel about his remarks? Share your thoughts by leaving us a comment.
