'Limitless' Season 2 Renewal Impossible? Fans File Petition; CBS Wants To Change Plot To Save The Series

After the cancellation of "Limitless" series was confirmed, fans became desperate for the show to be picked up by other networks. They even organized a petition just to bring back "Limitless" on air.

According to a report, fans started a petition campaign in Care2Petitions asking CBS for a second installation of "Limitless". The petition campaign has garnered 34,228 signatures approximately as of this writing.

In another report, CBS is apparently showing some interest in bringing the show back. What's the catch? CBS might be willing to bring back "Limitless" so long as they can change the plot and do a complete overhaul.

"Limitless" fans are not agreeing to the idea. They strongly believe that the original plot's complexity and uniqueness made them love "Limitless" and want for more.

We can recall that the first installation of "Limitless" failed to reach the audience causing CBS to drop the series. According to a report, another factor that caused the early cancellation of "Limitless" was the fact that it was up against more popular shows like "NCIS". "Limitless" executive producer Craig Sweeny confirmed and reiterated the decision to the fans and he even thanked them for their support.

In our previous report, "Limitless" executive producers negotiated with streaming companies, such as Netflix and Amazon, to buy the rights to the series but failed. It is believed that these companies declined to pick up the CBS series due to a controversial issue about the NZT drug.

There was a time when hope sparked after Netflix streamed "Limitless" Season 1. The series' fans thought that "Limitless" has already found a new home but Netflix revealed that they are not ready to gamble yet. This left many "Limitless" fans upset.

There is a very slim chance that "Limitless" gets renewed for another installation. Hopefully, their petition campaign can convince CBS to continue the series.
