‘Better Call Saul’ Season 3 Cast & Spoilers: Several ‘Breaking Bad’ Characters Return In Prequel, But No Bryan Cranston? Bosses Reveal As Much

"Better Call Saul" Season 3 is well under production, and the show's bosses tease that there are several "Breaking Bad" characters returning in the prequel of the hit series. However, rumors have it that there will be no Bryan Cranston yet.

Creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould told IGN that fans of the original series "Breaking Bad" would be happier with "Better Call Saul" Season 3 for several reasons. That is in line with the return of some of their favorite characters.

One of the characters joining the third season of "Better Call Saul" is Giancarlo Esposito, who played as Gus Fring. Fans had been watching too close that they were able to crack the code of "Better Call Saul" Season 2 episodes title, which say "F-R-I-N-G-S-B-A-C-K."

Gilligan said they were supposed to drop the hint in the first part of "Better Call Saul" Season 3, but fans got ahead of it. Bob Odenkirk also confirmed the rumors in an interview with "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"

Gould went on to say that people can actually figure things out on their own by following the logic of the show. For instance, Tuco was seen in the first episode of "Better Call Saul," went to jail, and then Hector Salamanca (Mark Magolis) came in the picture.

"All I can say, and I don't want to talk about any particular characters, but all I can say is, as first fans of the show, we're feeling very rewarded. And people who watched Breaking Bad will have even more reasons to watch Better Call Saul this season," Gould added.

Meanwhile, the younger version of Walter White (Bryan Cranston) or Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) are not likely to appear in the third season of "Better Call Saul," as reported by Screen Crush. But Hank and Marie Schrader are rumored to be joining the cast of the "Breaking Bad" prequel.

"Better Call Saul" Season 3 is yet to have a specific release date, but expect it early in 2017. Who's "Breaking Bad" character would you like to see in the upcoming new season?
