A "Mortal Kombat X" fan asked Ed Boone, through Twitter, the possibility of Johnny Cage to be one of the guest characters in the upcoming DLC. The game creator responded by confirming Johnny Cage can be a great guest character.

Another fan tried to push Ed Boon to speed up the game by sending a tweet, asking the creator to release the game. Ed Boon responded with a joke saying he is now searching for the "release" key from his keyboard.
