"Sons of Anarchy" prequel cast and updates reveal that Charlie Hunnam has previously confirmed his interest in joining the upcoming series. In an earlier interview with Men's Journal, the 36-year-old actor shared that he is excited to see what series creator Kurt Sutter has in store for viewers.
Hunnam also teased on the possible involvement of Brad Pitt as his character's father, John Teller in the "SOA" prequel. Since the prequel would be set years before the original series took place, the "King Arthur" actor was doubtful whether Sutter would need him as one of the lead actors of the show.
"I don't know if he needs me as a lead actor on that too," said Hunnam.
Since the "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff will focus on the Mayans MC, this means that there is little chance for Hunnam to play his role as Jax Teller. It also remains to be seen whether the "Mayans MC" series will take place at the same time as the original series or if it would be set years before the original one.
