NBA Latest Trade Rumors: Is Sacramento Kings Really Giving Up Rudy Gay? Oklahoma City Thunders Willing To Take The Player In?

Sacramento Kings players have been the center of trade rumors since this summer's offseason and the latest rumor is about Rudy Gay possibly being traded to Oklahoma City Thunders. This comes after he expressed that he will no longer be renewing his contract with the Sacramento Kings after his 2016-2017 NBA Season.

According to the latest reports, Sacramento Kings do not want to let Rudy Gay walk free from their team without the team having to benefit from him leaving. That is why they want to get a player to fill his spot. Oklahoma City Thunders has been linked to Rudy Gay in the past and they remain to reportedly show interest for the player.

CBS Sports reported that Oklahoma City Thunders is very interesting in adding Rudy Gay into their roster because of his skills and to fill the void left by Kevin Durant, who joined the Golden State Warriors. Also, Andre Roberson will be back to being a defending shooting guard if Rudy Gay will be part of Oklahoma City Thunders.

He will also take the place of Victor Oladipo, who is now in the starting lineup playing alongside Russell Westbrook. Victor Oladipo is said to be just a sixth man for Oklahoma City Thunders and if Rudy Gay will be acquired by them, Victor Oladipo will be back in the bench, Inquisitr reported.

Rudy Gay has proven his skills in long-range shootings and this will reportedly help Oklahoma City Thunders big time. He averages 21.3 points per game. If the rumors are true that Oklahoma City Thunders want Rudy Gay, the trade will take place anytime this 2016-2017 NBA season.

Accordingly, Oklahoma City Thunders offered Sacramento Kings a package. This includes Cameron Payne for Rudy Gay but the former broke his foot.

As of now, Oklahoma City Thunders is on the fifth spot in the Western Conference for the 2016-2017 NBA Season. Their record is seven wins and five losses, which is the same with Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trailblazers, and Utah Jazz.
