"The Vampire Diaries" is heading to its finale while "The Originals" is still gearing for its fourth season. Reports are rife that there will be a crossover involving the two vampire TV series on the CW. Sources claim that the "TVD" crossover will happen in the eighth episode of "The Originals" Season 4.

"TVD" fans are sad that their favorite TV show "The Vampire Diaries" is bidding goodbye for good. However, its spinoff "The Originals" will soon be gracing the small screens again and it will include some familiar faces from "TVD."

TV Line reported that "TVD's" Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) will leave Mystic Falls and go to New Orleans. The "The Originals" and "The Vampire Diaries" crossover is expected to occur in the eighth episode of "The Originals" Season 4.

Per the "The Originals" spoilers, Alaric will visit Elijah (Daniel Gillies) to deliver a precious artifact. At the time, Alaric will be facing challenges in "TVD."

According to the "The Vampire Diaries" spoilers, Alaric and Caroline's (Candice King) daughters are in grave danger after hiring a seemingly innocent nanny who turned to be Satan's cannibalistic servant. Seline is the second siren in "TVD" Season 8 and she is also expected to bring terror in Alaric's home, TV Guide reported.

It is still unknown if Alaric's arrival in "The Originals" will be somehow connected to his struggles in Mystic Falls. However, one thing is certain, the character is joining the Mikaelsons in "The Originals" Season 4.
