"Hunter x Hunter" is still rumored to be pending cancellation after series creator Yoshihiro Togashi has failed to report to continue the manga. However, rumors are rife that "Hunter x Hunter" producers are now considering hiring another writer to replace Togashi. Speculations emerged that "Tokyo Ghoul" author Sui Ishida will be the one to take over Togashi's duty moving forward.

"Hunter x Hunter" publisher Shueisha is speculated to hire a new group of writers will not be able to return to work until February 2017. Rumor has it that Ishida is on top of the list.
