Baby Food Products Found With Rubber Inside Now Being Pulled Off From Shelves For Precautionary Measure

A customer report regarding a small rubber seen inside a container of a baby food product has led to the issuance of precautionary product recall of the whole H-E-B Baby Food 2 products which were in 4 oz. cups. Last Friday, the H-E-B Company announced that it had released a precautionary product recall of its whole Baby Food 2 packs and 4 ounces cups products. The company reported that their product harmed no babies.

H-E-B Company, maker of baby food products based in Texas, has decided to retrieve all its Baby Food 2 Pack and 4 ounces cup products after they received a customer complaint, finding a trifling rubber inside the cup of the baby food product. Since Friday, Nov. 18, the baby food products were pulled off the company's shelves, according to WBTV.

Though no reports of sickness or injury linked to this incident, the company said they are doing this as part of their commitment to complete and absolute baby food safety, together with the truth that they are dealing with the provisions of the children. They also relayed the product recall to Food and Drug Administration.

"Though we have only received one report of foreign material in H-E-B Baby Food 2 Pack and 4 oz. Cups, as a company, we are committed to absolute and complete food safety," Winell Herron, H-E-B Group Vice President of Public Affairs, Diversity and Environmental Affairs, said in an announcement posted on the website of U.S. Food & Drug Administration. He added that as a result of that commitment, coupled with the fact that they are dealing with products for children, they had made the decision to pull all of their H-E-B Baby Food 2 Pack and four ozs. Cups from their shelves.

For now, the company is encouraging all their clients who have bought H-E-B Baby Food 2 Pack and 4 oz. Cups to return the baby products to the nearest H-E-B store located in their place. They also launched a thorough investigation of the incident while working very closely with the manufacturer to make sure the entire safety procedures are being done when manufacturing products for children.
