'Lucifer' Season 2 Episode 9 Recap: Lucifer Found What He's Looking For Until His Mother Tries To Take Her Away From Him

In the last episode of "Lucifer," Charlotte questioned Lucifer's desire in making Los Angeles his home. Amenadiel convinced his brother, Lucifer, that their family shouldn't be on earth. However, Lucifer insisted that he found a place where he feels respected and wanted and that is with humanity, in Los Angeles.

"Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 9 started with a boring Los Angeles city tour so Lucifer can convince Amenadiel not to leave earth and head back to Silver City until Amenadiel left his brother on the bus. Another murder case is on the line as Dean Cooper, a real estate tycoon of Los Angeles, was found dead. Dean Cooper also happens to own Lux, Lucifer's night club.

Lucifer found out he's about to get evicted from Lux due to Eric Cooper, the dead realty tycoon's son, decided to sell the entire block of their property. Lucifer would definitely not give up his home, so he decided to contact Chloe. While Lucifer and Chloe were walking to the building where Lux was located, a body from the seventh floor fell off, and it's Eric Cooper, still breathing.

Another suspect came up by the name of Eleanor Bloom, another real estate tycoon who bought Dean Cooper's properties. Bloom wouldn't give Lucifer the nightclub back because she wants to redevelop the properties. Lucifer's rage of being evicted soon led him to have an illegal party at his nightclub.

Charlotte was present at Lucifer's party to "support" his son, however, it's just a show to plot something to make her son come back to the Silver City. A few moments later, Chloe and the police went to the Lux and instead of shutting down the party, Chloe suggested to turn the music up. Chloe and Lucifer shared a dance at the nightclub until everybody passed out and the problem comes back in with Lucifer figuring out how to keep his home.

Meanwhile, "Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 9 revealed an unexpected twist, Chloe's ex-husband, Dan and Lucifer's mother, Charlotte, were seen making out at a bar and slept together in a hotel room. Charlotte has been trying to find a way to ruin Lucifer's home in order to convince her son to come back to the Silver City. Turns out, Dr. Linda and Dan were the puzzles that led to Charlotte finding out Lucifer's closeness with Chloe, according to TV Line.

"Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 9 murder case gained clarity and it turns out, Eric Cooper's fiance was framed by the real estate tycoon, Eric's father, to keep her out of the picture. The real killer wasn't clear as both Eric and his fiancé confessed to killing Dean Cooper and both of them would go to jail.

The case might have been solved but Lucifer was still mourning for his home. As soon as Lucifer was about to say good bye to Lux, Chloe came in to save it by making the nightclub a heritage site with the use of her connections from the Los Angeles City Council, according to TV Fanatic. In exchange for the help Chloe gave to Lucifer, he asked her to have a dinner.

Lucifer seems to be surprised by the help Chloe made and he went to Dr. Linda for some advice. Dr. Linda mentions that Lucifer found what he's looking for in Los Angeles and that is Chloe. Chloe waited in the restaurant and Lucifer never came for her. "Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 9 ended with Chloe heading to her car, which has a bomb underneath it, ready to explode with a click of a button by Lucifer's mom, Charlotte.
