Does Pregnancy Hinder Ambition And Career-Orientedness?

Being ambitious does not harm anyone. Careers are important in our lives and anything that comes in the way must be stepped aside. However, it is not entirely impossible to put things aside when it comes to family.

Forbes posted a story of a pregnant woman who is in a fix as to what could be chosen between work and pregnancy. Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg advises women not to underestimate their ability to keep up with both their work and lives. Women have different opinions on pregnancy, some might favor the choice of looking for a new job that seems helpful, others might suggest to stay in the same field and make it manageable.

The most important thing in such cases is to feel the inner instinct, the best guide one can have. It is crucial to understand what one actually wants.

For instance, there are people who never had children not because their careers were more important for them but because they feel that they can't be good parents. They just don't have it in themselves. But on the other hand, some people leave their work behind and devote themselves to their families.

A rather more common strategy is to give equal time and dedication to both work and family. Independent also points out the expenses and financial stress related to pregnancies, births and later stages of a child's life.

A new survey is done every day that assesses the amount of money spent on raising children until they graduate. However, planning is the key and although pregnancies could worry many women out there, prepared people are the ones who do not question their choices. But sometimes there are shortcomings or unexpected circumstances between work and children that are making many women quit their jobs or being fired.
