'Pacific Rim 2' Release Date, Cast News: Zhang Jin Joins Cast Members, Indicating A China Storyline; Cast Members Spotted In Australia!

"Pacific Rim 2" has added Chinese actor Zhang Jin to its roster. This should excite the moviegoers as it may hint a twist that could further bring action-packed scenes in the movie.

In a report by Variety, Zhang Jin joins the other Chinese cast members of "Pacific Rim 2," including Wesley Wong, Qian Yong Chen, Tian Jing, Lily Ji, Lan Yingying and Chen Zitong.

"We are very excited that we have such amazing Chinese talent joining us on 'Pacific Rim' our new story has a strong connection to China and this great Chinese cast will help us bring it to life," said Beijing Wanda Cultural Industry Group executive Dr. Jack Gao, who also is the owner of Legendary Entertainment.

The filming of the anticipated "Pacific Rim 2" started on Nov. 9 and enthusiasts have been expecting its arrival ever since. The film underwent a lot of challenges, especially when Guillermo del Toro did not push through as the director.

Good thing, del Toro is still associated with the production of "Pacific Rim 2" by being an executive producer. Together with Steven S. DeKnight, known for the "Daredevil" film, the duo is more than happy to lead the movie to success.

"Pacific Rim 2" features John Boyega, popular for his "Star Wars" role as Finn, as the lead character. He and others stars like Cailee Spaeny and Scott Eastwood are to make the movie goers addicted to the film's storyline and action scenes.

Other details of "Pacific Rim 2" remains scarce, but it obviously has strong associated with China. Up until this time, the character of Boyega is only known as the son of Stacker Pentecost, played by Idris Elba, though his mission and the entire plot of the movie are yet to unfold.

The cast and crew of "Pacific Rim 2" is currently in Australia to shoot some scenes and the movie is expected to hit theaters on February 28, 2018. What do you think is the storyline of the movie?
