‘X-Men’ TV Series ‘Legion’ Air Date, Spoilers: Son Of Professor X Gets A Solo TV Show; See More Details, Trailer Inside

"X-Men" first TV adaptation titled "Legion" is arriving in 2017. It tells the story of David, the mutant son of Charles Xavier or Professor X, who had lived his life without knowing that he has special powers. David is a schizophrenic patient who has been in and out of psychiatric facilities but his life will change after an encounter with a fellow patient.

"X-Men's" Professor X, the founder and leader of "X-Men," is known to have a vast and exceptional telepathic mutant powers. It will not be surprising if his son David has inherited his abilities on "X-Men" TV series "Legion." The official synopsis of the show revealed that David has been hearing voices and he may have thought that he was suffering from a mental disorder schizophrenia.

"X-Men" TV series "Legion" is suggested to see David realize that the voices in his mind are real when he meets a girl who also possesses mutant powers. He is also expected to get involved in the disappearance of the girl. In the newest trailer of "Legion." fans are given a glimpse of David's life inside the psychiatric hospital where he was being interrogated about the girl's whereabouts.

"X-Men" TV series "Legion" is produced by FX in coordination with Marvel Television, DenofGeek reported. FX CEO John Landgraf revealed that the new "X-Men" TV series is not a continuation of the movie franchise, Slashfilm reported. Also, the "X-Men" TV series is said to be set in a world where commoners are not aware that mutants exist.

The government, however, knows about the existence of mutants and it is something that is different from the movies. The producers apparently aim to make it an original take on the "X-Men" comics so the story will be told in a slightly different manner. Additionally, "X-Men" TV series "Legion's" earth is said to be parallel to the "X-Men" film's world so the characters of each are unique.

"X-Men" TV series "Legion" is slated to premiere in February 2017. No official release date has been announced as of this posting. In the meantime, check out the explosive trailer below.
