‘Allied’ Actor Brad Pitt Cleared By FBI On Alleged Child Abuse Incident; Child Custody Battle Continues With Actress Angelina Jolie

"Allied" Actor Brad Pitt has been cleared by the FBI regarding the alleged child abuse incident last Sept. 14 that involved his son Maddox, 15 years old. The FBI will not file any charges against the actor as he can now pursue child custody from estranged wife Angelina Jolie.

The FBI was involved in the investigation into the alleged child abuse incident because according to NYMag, the reported incident occurred on the family's private plane. In connection with this, the "Allied" actor Brad Pitt has been cleared a month ago by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services when they investigated the alleged child abuse incident that occurred last Sept. 14.

The Guardian quoted Laura Eimiller, FBI Los Angeles field office spokeswoman: "the FBI has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation." She further added, "No charges have been filed in this matter."

Meanwhile, reps from the "Allied" actor Brad Pitt have kept mum regarding the results of the alleged child abuse incident investigation until the official statement from the FBI. As the ongoing battle between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie regarding child custody, they have yet to settle on custody agreement.

Although California law favors joint custody, details about custody arrangements have not been disclosed by either party, per PageSix. It was reported in September that following the alleged child abuse incident on their private plane, Angelina Jolie immediately filed for divorce from the "Allied" Actor Brad Pitt.

Angelina Jolie's attorney noted that it was "for the health of the family," as reported by Huffington Post. Now that "Allied" Actor Brad Pitt has been cleared of any wrongdoings, he can continue with the child custody battle with estranged wife Angelina Jolie.

In the meantime, Brad Pitt can focus on his latest film "Allied," which debuted in the US on Nov. 23. The film is directed by Robert Zemeckis and also stars Marion Cotillard.
