‘Disney Crossy Road’ Tips & Gameplay: Unlock Secret Characters From 'Moana,' 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' And 'Aladdin'

“Disney Crossy Road” is the latest 8-bit adventure game by Disney and the Hipster Whale. It's a new take on the original "Crossy Road" game, this time with Disney characters led by Mickey Mouse. Read on for details including gameplay, features, and tips!

In "Disney Crossy Road," the goal is to get Mickey to cross the road safely by tapping and swiping on the device's screen. Here's the fun part: secret characters are revealed almost every week along with different themed challenges.

According to Disney, players can collect over 100 characters from blockbuster Disney and Pixar films. Aside from Mickey, characters include Donald Duck, Buzz Lightyear from "Toy Story," Rapunzel from "Tangled," Simba from "The Lion King," Sadness from "Inside Out," and many more.

Disney's latest animated film "Moana" will also be included. Secret characters from “Moana” include Moana, Chief Tui, Sina, Frigatebird, Pua, Kakamora Chief, Mau, Hei Hei, and Ghost Matai. Character’s prices start at $0.99.

Here's how you can easily unlock "Moana" characters. The Frog Monster can be unlocked by completing the Moana Set. Get Chicken Feed by playing Hei Hei and collecting 25 chickens. Flower Mane can be unlocked by playing as Simba.

Meanwhile, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” collection includes Pintel. It can be unlocked by completing the Caribbean Hero Set. Playing as Pintel will unlock the Prison Dog. Playing as Captain Jack Sparrow allows you to get the Stray Cat secret character. Completing the Cursed at Sea obstacle will unlock Ragetti. Finally, playing as Will Turner or Blackbeard will let you acquire Tiny.

Players can also unlock "Aladdin" secret characters such as Business Lemming and Popsicle.

To get Priscilla, play as Flash for 30 times within 30 seconds. For Abigail Callaghan to unlock, play as Hiro Super Suit to find her in an open field.

The obstacles and themes of "Disney Crossy Road" are set in the worlds of Disney movies, such as Al's Toy Barn from "Toy Story" and the Pride Lands from "The Lion King. The game is made even more fun with background music from the said movies.

Challenges are unique to each world. Power-ups can be earned by collecting cherries and winning obstacles.
