Martin himself, another news emerged that "Dreams of Spring" is also on the way and may come after "The Winds of Winter" is launched - even released simultaneously

It could be recalled that the fifth novel, titled "A Dance with Dragons," came out in 2011, which means that fans have been waiting for five years for "The Winds of Winter" to come out. It is believed that George R.R. Martin needs to catch up with the happenings in the novel as "Game of Thrones" has been giving spoilers of the upcoming book. This has apparently put pressure to George R.R. Martin as he felt the effects of the hit TV series to his novel.

For those who are still wondering why the "The Winds of Winter" has been delayed, some fans believe that aside from writing the anticipated novel, George R.R. Martin also has to exert effort in working on the storyline of the seventh installment, which is allegedly titled as "Dreams of Spring." Fans believe that the author will release the two books simultaneously or with a close time interval.
