Nokia 2017: Android Flagship With 2K Display; To Be Named ‘Nokia Pixel’? [LEAKED]

Nokia is all set to make its big comeback with an amazing flagship to run on Android operating system. Per leaks, the company is to launch a 5.2-inch or 5.5-inch smartphone.

In 2017, along with the various flagships, Nokia is trying to launch a smartphone, which can offer a tough competition in the tech market. According to the leaked news on Chinese website Weibo, Nokia's expected flagship will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. However, the processor will be an outdated one because other tech giants will be using Snapdragon 830 series by the next year. Nokia might update on this.

According to Startlr Tech, other specifications of the new Nokia Android phone might include a 5.2-inch screen with a 2K display. The smartphone's design feature will be a metal unibody design and waterproof certification. Nokia's upcoming Android Nougat flagship might go with a Carl Zeiss lens as it did for Lumia smartphones that had once ruled the tech world.

Currently, the tech market is ruled by Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and Google Pixel. Nokia has to take over these smartphones as it had already released Lumia 1020 with a 41-megapixel camera. Nokia's flagship is rumored to be called as Nokia Pixel, which will run on Android 7.0.1 Nougat with a Qualcomm 200 processor clocked at 1.19GHz coupled with 1GB RAM.

It is also speculated that Nokia's first smartphone of 2017 will be Nokia DIC, which has already benchmarked on Geekbench and Antutu.

Per Antutu benchmark, the device is powered by Qualcomm 430 chipset coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU. It is expected to unbox with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM running on Android 7.0 Nougat. The smartphone is expected to have a 1920 x 1080 pixel screen resolution, with a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP front shooter, the Indian Express reported.
