Anne Rice Confirms Vampire Chronicles On TV Soon!;Production To Rival ‘Game Of Thrones’ Quality?

Anne Rice, the bestselling author known is bringing her masterpieces to the small screen by confirming that she has gained the rights to produce, "The Vampire Chronicles" for TV. Since stories about blood-sucking characters have proven to be a hit with the likes of "The Vampire Diaries" and "Twilight" saga, it is about time for the original writer known for vampire stories to televised her works. Fans will surely be excited to see how characters of Lestat, Marius, and Armand will be played out on TV.

According to the The Hollywood Reporter, the TV production of "The Vampire Chronicles" was announced by Anne Rice herself through her official Facebook page. She also confirmed that the novel series is supposed to be turned into films by Universal and Imagine Entertainment. However, Anne Rice feels that a TV series will be more suitable for the novel so she is so happy to have regained its theatrical rights once again.


The famous novelist adds that she is dreaming of a top quality TV series for "The Vampire Chronicles," and that she wishes to fulfill the requests of her fans to see her works on TV. Moreover, by saying high quality, the author uses the hit HBO series, "Game of Thrones" as a reference. So probably, "The Vampire Chronicles" is the new TV series to rival the popularity of "GOT."

As published in Deadline, Anne Rice informed that she will start working with the script for the TV series together with her son, the novelist, Christopher Rice. As to who will be the actors and actresses to complete the cast is another thing to look forward to.

It can be recalled that the stellar casts for the first novel of the series, "The Interview with the Vampire" include Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Christian Slater, and Antonio Banderas. The movie was a worldwide hit by earning $ 223 million.
