Apple iOS 10 Update Drains Battery: 30% Bug Plagues All iPhone Models Supporting iOS 10.x; Tech Giant Still Mum About the Issue?

For Apple fans who can't wait to try out Apple's recently released iOS 10.1.1 update, you might want to think before make the jump. Recent complaints have plagued the tech giant because of a bug that is supposedly present since the iOS 10 update release.

The iOS 10 update seems to affect the Apple iPhone's battery indicator where a 30% remaining power would cause it to immediately plummet to 1% (hence the moniker 30% bug), according to ITWire. A reboot is then required where the iPhone runs trouble free for a few more hours. Some have tried to have their units replaced but to no avail.

So far Apple has kept mum on the issue and has ignored some 12 pages of forum complaints regarding the Apple iOs 10 update, as reported by DailyMail. Another weird thing that doesn't make sense is the fact that rebooting brings the battery back to 30%, thereby temporarily fixing the Apple iOs 10 update issue. And this appears to plague all iPhone models that support iOS 10.x.

Some users have tried downgrading to Apple iOS 10.1 and then upgrading to the new 10.2 Beta, but still without success. Those who tried this method are advised to contact Apple immediately.

Apple iOS 10.1.1 was rolled out to supposedly fix a major Apple Health concern that deletes user data. The update was successful in solving the said concern but not the 30% bug that remained and is now the current issue.

To make matters worse, iPhone fans have reported problems with the audio, whether using the Earpods or not, per TechTimes. The problem seems to have appeared in conjunction with the upgrade to iOS 10.1.1.

Apple has yet to release a statement regarding the iOS 10 and audio problems.
