Robert Downey Jr Posted Thanksgiving Photo On Instagram, 'Iron Man' Star Grateful For His 'Difficult' Avengers Family

"Iron Man" star Robert Downey Jr. posted a timely photo in line with the recent holiday celebrations on his Instagram account. RDJ, being always active in social media, expressed his gratitude towards his "Avengers" family. In his post, RDJ shared that dealing with his family may sometimes be tough but he remains grateful for having them.

Robert Downey Jr. who plays the billionaire Tony Stark and superhero Iron Man has been very active on his social media accounts, Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. In our previous report, RDJ made headlines as he "teased" Marvel fans about his status in reprising his role.

In RDJ's Instagram and Twitter account you can see a photo posted 5 days ago (as of this writing) showing the people he calls his family. Clearly, the photo showed the "Avengers" characters celebrating Thanksgiving. He captioned: "Getting along with family can be difficult, but let's be thankful for love, even when it includes disagreement." Isn't he sweet and thoughtful, though?

In the picture, you can see Nick Fury, Black Widow, Hulk, Phil Coulson, Scarlet Witch, Captain America, and of course Iron Man. On the other side of the table are the Asgardian siblings Loki and Thor which seem to be in disagreement while Hawkeye staring at them.

We were able to see RDJ in "Captain America: Civil War" where he was caught in an argument with Steve Rogers aka Captain America. The movie ended with the Avengers divided into two creating a gap between former allies Captain America and Iron Man.

Reports suggest that RDJ will soon be seen in another "Spider-Man" movie as he reprises his role as Iron Man. Marvel fans can also expect to see RDJ in "Avengers: Infinity War" in 2018.

The "Avengers" director Anthony Russo revealed in an interview about Iron Man and Captain America's situation in connection to the group's division. Russo said that both characters are suffering the consequences of the split up and are in a difficult place.

In the meantime, fans can now mark their calendars as Robert Downey Jr. Downey reappears in Marvel's upcoming movies. First in Marvel's line-up is "Spider-Man: Homecoming" to debut on July 7, 2017, which will be followed by "Avengers: Infinity War" on May 4, 2018.
