The 2017 Most Anticipated Video Games (Part 1) Exclusive For PlayStation

The year 2016 marks one of the biggest surprises in video games. Many of these video games brought new heights in gaming experience while a few were unable to surpass or even match the hype of expectations. Overall, this year marks another chapter in video gaming.

2017 is fast approaching and so gamers are once again tuned in to what will bring the best and exciting gaming experience next year. So here is the first of many parts that will bring you the titles of the most anticipated video games for 2017.

God of War

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) Santa Monica Studio comes up with the eighth installment of the God of War series, simply titled "God of War". Though the specific release date has yet to be announced, this third-person action-adventure video game is expected for 2017 release on PlayStation 4.

Kratos, the main character of the game, who now has full control of his rage power, will be accompanied by a still unnamed boy who has the ability to control lightning. It is still to be determined whether this boy is his son or an orphan but what is definite about "God of War" is the exciting, non-stop action that will keep everyone on the edge of their seats.

Persona 5

Released last Sept. 15 in Japan, the fifth major installment of the Persona series has been delayed anew. However, as what Kotaku heard from Japanese gamers, "Persona 5" is 'really, really good'! Of course, you can only enjoy this upcoming video game from Atlus if you're a PlayStation 3/4 owner. Word is that later next year, the developer plans to release "Persona 5" on PS4 Pro.

As revealed by GamesRadar.com, "Persona 5" continues to feature students with supernatural abilities in the futuristic world. However, the game will also touch the dramatic, sensitive side of the series.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Coming this February 2017 in North America (March in UK and EU), this partnership between game developer Guerrilla Games and SIE brings the latest IP for PlayStation, "Horizon Dawn Zero". Gamers will play the role of Aloy, a hunter and archer as she battles out robotic creatures known as the 'Machines'. This will surely make use of one's instinct on how to defeat the enemies using only bows and arrows.
