'Grand Theft Auto' Just Happened in Real Life? After Playing the Game, a Young Boy Ended up in Real Cops

Kids are fond of imitating acts they see from video games to real life and this may be one of the reasons why they should not be allowed to play M-rated video games. An 11-year-old boy from Ontario set out his parent's car after spending all night playing "Grand Theft Auto".

According to a report in CTV News, the young boy from Ontario was curious about the real deal felt like. While his parents were sleeping, he used their car after he spent his entire Saturday evening playing "GTA".

The Ontario Provincial Police Department received reports after 11p.m. about a vehicle all over the highway in Toronto.  Sgt. Kerry Schmidt described in their official Twitter page how police officers run after the young man whom they suspected was an impaired driver. The young man was said to crawl initially at a slower speed, but suddenly rushed away speeding at more than 75mph.

Eventually, the police were able to box the vehicle suspected to be driven by an impaired driver but they were thrown when they found out that the driver was just a kid. Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said that the boy has just finished playing the game and he did such because he wants to know what it feels like to drive a car according to a report in Newser.

Sgt. Kerry Schmidt further expressed how frightened he is of whatever could have happened. He said that it is frightening to think that a boy who has no experience at all was left all over the highway with the intention of running from the cops.

However, no charges were filed against the 11 year old boy. Instead, his parents were left to decide the best possible way to deal with his transgression. Sgt. Kerry Schmidt reminded those who are thinking to skip driving education in a report in Toronto Star that the game is not the way to learn how to drive.
