‘People Of Earth’ Season 1 Episode 8 Recap: Will Ozzie Leave Everything Behind?

“People of Earth” is almost down to its first season, but the comedy created by David Jenkins is still giving a lot of juicy stories about the members of the StarCrossed community. So, what are fans expecting in episode eight of the first season, “Mars or Bust?”

The synopsis reveals that Ozzie (Wyatt Cenac) confesses something in an interview. Here, Ozzie exposes Glint corporation. The speech he gave to Junior high school students along with getting offered a job in New York Times.

Ozzie thought everything was doing great, but a student burst his bubble when asked about the StarCrossed. He admitted to believing in aliens which could kill his career, A.V. Club reports.

In another part of the show, Jeff (Ken Hall) is near in knowing the identity of Kurt’s murder. Viewers know that Gine (Ana Gasteyer) was responsible for Kurt’s death, Hidden Remote reports.

Jeff realizes that Gina was the one who owned the car that had an “empathy” sticker on its bumper. Jeff then used this knowledge and confessed to Gina that he misses Kurt.

Also, speaking of Gina, she was seriously frustrated because Ozzie admitted his belief and knowledge of the StarCrossed group in “People of Earth.” Ozzie then realizes that he’s still a reported instead of being just a member of the group and he’s not that thrilled with his experience.

In the end, Ozzie’s journalism career wasn’t dead, after all. The New York Times still offered him the gig, but with a condition; he has to denounce his alien experience. So, because of his love for his craft, he leaves Beacon to move to New York in “People of Earth.”

However, it’s clear that Ozzie will still be haunted by StarCrossed even though he’s leaving for New York. His experience will still be part of his life, and his past will still be part of him wherever he goes.
