‘Star Trek: Discovery’ News & Updates: Bryan Fuller's Important Announcement; Series Explains Star Trek History?

“Star Trek: Discovery” is one of the most anticipated TV series in 2017. The upcoming show have already revealed some details about the casts and plot; here are some predictions.

First stop, Bryan Fuller won’t be part of “Star Trek: Discovery” production. It can be recalled that Fuller was the creator of the show and he just recently handed the show’s material to Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts.

For the plot of “Star Trek: Discovery,” Fuller adds that there are only three words that can be used to describe the TV show: “Understand Each Other.” This could mean that the Klingon Empire and the United Federation of Planets can be the governments that will have to understand one another in the show, as reported by Inverse.

The show is even described as the “touchstone” of the upcoming show. This is understood considering that “Discovery” is set 10 years before the original Star Trek series. Therefore, the main core of the series can be building a new civilization and not just finding life.

With this, fans can expect a 13-episode season. Every episode is set to create a serial storyline rather than an episodic one. The serial story will dwell on the story that’s popular, but has never been touched in any of the films.

As of writing, there are only three casts confirmed who will be joining the sci-fi show. Doug Jones will portray Lt. Saru. The Starfleet science officer who’s a member of a new alien specie in the Star Trek Universe.

Anthony Rapp will give life to Lt. Stamets. He’ll be working as the fungus and astromycology science officer.

Michelle Yeoh will play as Starfleet Captain Georgiou who will be part of the Shenzou starship. Her casting has just been recently confirmed by CBS, as reported by Radio Times.
