'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare' Remastered Comes With 6 New Maps, Two Gameplay Modes, “Women In Uniform”

"We've got something coming!" is what Activision Editorial Manager Kevin Kelly said when he announced in the developer's official blog that "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" Remastered will come with six new maps, two novel gameplay modes "and more" starting today. The goodies, which are part of Activision's "#TistheSeason" content promo, makes it a total of 16 multiplayer maps since the game was released in November.

Kelly added in his blog entry that alongside the 6 original maps found in "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" is now available in Remastered. Activision also threw in Gun Game and Hardpoint to list and thereby, "giving players even more action this holiday." Game Spot likewise pointed that the holiday-themed weapon camos Gift Wrap and Ugly Sweater will come as unlockable items when MW players complete challenges in the "fan-favorite" and airstrike riddled map, Winter Crash.

The website added that Winter Crash was previously a PC exclusive. Its console debut, on the other hand,  comes with Activision's vision that it would be a "holiday classic". Modern Warfare Remastered will also tag along "Operation Arctic Wolf". The loot will feature a bevy of trinkets such as reticles, combat uniforms, weapon cams, calling cards and "women in uniform" for the first time the game's roster of characters.

Leading the six new maps is Bloc. Set in a large Russian apartment block, players will engage in "Intense Domination matches" while team strategy will work well in the train year set Pipeline map. Countdown meanwhile is an "Open launch pad" where sight lines and dangerous maneuvering are required. Showdown is set in a small desert and will be played at a fast rate. The expansive Strike map is suitable for team play, while the "Seek and Destroy| Wet Work will pit players in a cargo ship to rain bullets on each other.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" Remastered will still be an exclusive title for those who have purchased the special editions of Infinite Warfare. It sells for $80, but the games are "frequently discounted". Some portions of the game will be free to play on December 15.
