'Wolverine' Sequel 'Logan' News And Updates: Hugh Jackman Posted Photo On Twitter Showcasing Sad, Solitary Wolverine

The sequel of "Wolverine," entitled "Logan" will be coming out next year in cinemas by March and Hugh Jackman recently released a teaser photo for fans of the upcoming flick. The photo showed a seemingly lonely and sad Wolverine while out in the field.

The photo showed Jackman's character staring out into the distance. Jackman's caption on the photo reads, "Logan. 3.3.17." The promotional photo might have been uploaded just to let fans know when the movie is slated to be out in cinemas. It has had more than 2,000 retweets and more than 7,000 likes, Cinema Blend reported.

This is not the first time that Jackman tweeted photos from the set of "Logan" but this created the most buzz since it shows the solitary nature of his character. It is believed that "Logan" will focus on a more damaged version of Wolverine since his healing factor will no longer work as well as it did before. The trailer of "Logan" also proved that it would be sadder and less violent than the other "Wolverine" flicks. The action is still there but the whole theme is about trying to save those he cares for and being able to defend them despite his healing factor not as efficient as it was before.

Marvel director Scott Derrickson recently shared on Twitter that "Logan" might be the best X-men movie to be released. A 40-minute section of "Logan" was unveiled to high profile critics and they have had nothing but praises to say regarding the flick.

Comic Book also reported that James Mangold directed "Logan" and it was said to be inspired by classic western flicks. X-23, played by Dafne Keen, is also set to be featured in "Logan" and towards the end of the trailer, Wolverine was seen teaching the child important lessons.

"Logan" takes place in the year 2024 and this is the time where mutant births have become rare. The other stars of the flick are Boyd Holbrook, Patrick Stewart, Doris Morgado, Stephen Merchant, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Richard E. Grant.
