‘The Batman’ News & Updates: Ben Affleck Won’t Make The New Film?

“The Batman” is the said to be the latest standalone Batman film. Ben Affleck is tapped to be the Batman, but reports say that he’s reluctant to do the new film, and many fans are asking why.

First stop, many fans considered Ben Affleck’s performance as Batman in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” as one of the best portrayal of the Gotham vigilante. With this, a news of his Batman film amped the excitement of the fans.

Recently, the actor had offered some positive notes on the new film. He said that he'd have to look over his shoulders especially following Christian Bale.

However, it’s clear that Affleck hasn't read the script, yet, considering that that film is still in the works. Still, Affleck had already candidly spoken that he wouldn’t move forward with “The Batman” film if it has a “subpar script” Complex reports.

With this, Affleck has worked with Geoff Johns in writing the film’s script. During this time, Joe Manganiello was also cast as the antagonist of the movie.

As of the moment, there are still no details about the release date of the film. “The Batman” star added that he doesn’t like “to meet a window or a date.” All he wants to have the right story and script for the film.

However, a subtle admission by Warner Bros. is that the film will be part of their 2018 lineup. This is aside from “Fantastic Beasts” and “Aquaman” release in the same year, Collider reports.

With this, the news that “The Batman” will be filming next spring can be right. If this is true, then fans will have to expect the film after the release of “Wonder Woman” and “Justice League” on 2017.
