‘Dragon Ball’ Manga Gets A Spinoff With Yamcha As Hero; How Will This Play Out?

“Dragon Ball” will have a spin-off with Yamcha as the hero. Fans know that the character has been the long-time underdog in the manga and this is his chance to experience the limelight.

The title of the spinoff is “Dragon Ball Side Story: The Case of Being Reincarnated as Yamcha.” So, will the story be as literal as is the title?

It really wouldn’t be this literal. The story will focus on the life of a Japanese student. The student is an avid “Dragon Ball” fan and will come as reincarnated Yamcha.

The twist is that the student will be able to turn Yamcha into a fighter who will be feared by many. Yamcha will also be able to defeat Krillin because of his strength and will eventually avoid his death, as reported by Forbes.

Currently, the mini-series spin-off of “Dragon Ball” that stars Yamcha is still published in Japanese. However, some news says that fans will not have to wait longer to get the English version of the Manga.

For now, “Dragon Ball Side Story: The Case of Being Reincarnated as Yamcha” is available at the website of Shōnen Jump. The first chapter is fully accessible on their website.

The sad news for Yamcha is that he’s currently not part of the latest “Dragon Ball Super” series. This was launched last summer and, still, the character has been absent since then.

The release of “Dragon Ball Side Story: The Case of Being Reincarnated as Yamcha” could have been the reason why Yamcha was absent in “Dragon Ball Super.” The latest series is a collaboration between the original creator and new series partners, Comic Book reports.
