Brave Uber Driver In Sacramento Saves 16-Year-Old Teenager From Sex Trafficking

An Uber driver in Sacramento recently made the headlines as he rescued a 16-year-old girl from child sex trafficking. Being an astute person, he sharply used his attentive listening skills to save the teenager from a world of illicit activities. The event has garnered endless praises for the driver as well as Uber.

On Monday, as NBC News explained, Keith Avila was on duty as he drove two women and a teenage girl to a nearby Holiday Inn. Owing to his cleverness, he paid great attention to the conversation going on between one of the women and the person she was calling on the phone. Without losing his calm, the uber driver devised a planned and dropped the fare at their location.

Promptly after dropping off the suspects at their destination, Keith Avila called the police and informed them about the sex trafficking deal he had just witnessed. Elk Glove police immediately arrived at the crime scene and entered the building.

They came out successful, according to Metro UK, having arrested the two women of ages 25 and 31, and the 20-year- old man to whom the females were reportedly delivering the young girl to. The man was charged with the intention to involve in a sexual affair with a minor but was released the next day due to lack of evidence against him.

The two women were jailed and held on a bond of $500,000. The victim of this crime was of age 16 and she ran away from the scene without any traces. However, it was reported that she is safe now.

Following this incident, the police greatly appreciated the smart work and guts of the Uber driver. Setting an example of kindness, Avila narrated the entire event on his Facebook profile to spread awareness. The post went viral shortly afterward.
