Linksys Unveils The Velop Router System; Boasts Zero Dead Spot Throughout The House

Linksys has recently revealed a brand new router promising to give the "best" possible signal all throughout the house. The modular Wi-Fi system, aptly called "Velop," is a set of routers boasting a powerful mesh network designed to boost the signal in the house.

According to Linksys, the Velop can be set up in just mere minutes and it will deliver the fastest and most reliable high-fidelity tri-band Wi-Fi signal regardless of the odd design of your home. The Velop router is composed of two to three individual router nodes, capable of offering 2,000 square feet of Wi-Fi coverage with zero dead spot in the house.

To cover the varying mileage of every layout in every household, the Velop is equipped with a mesh system wherein the router nodes create a steady blanket of Internet coverage. The company further said that the Velop doesn't degrade the signal even if users move away from the router.

How is this possible? Since the Velop is a tri-band system, one of its three nodes is dedicated to constantly communicate between each of the other router nodes, ensuring there is no drop in Internet speed at any point in the connection. In other words, users get constant and seamless Wi-Fi with no buffering, according to MacRumors.

The whole Velop system could even support Amazon's Alexa. Linksys' Velop also comes with an app, allowing users to easily manage their Wi-Fi from afar. This is inclusive of parental control settings, speed tests, device prioritization for extra-solid Internet speeds, and other settings. Linksys added that this might be the setup on the market.

The Velop system is sold in one, two, or three packs. The Velop runs up to $499.99 for a three-unit bundle, one of the most expensive systems on the market next to Netgear's Orbi. For a 2-unit pack, it retails at $349.99 and $199.99 for one Velop router.
