Apple will be celebrating the Chinese New Year in style, again this 2017. The company has recently announced that they will be taking part in another long-time celebrated event. A one-day sale will take place to celebrate the Chinese New Year where the company will give away Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones in red.

For customers to qualify for Apple's Chinese New Year promo, they have to purchase either a MacBook, an iMac, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, or Mac Pro. But both the recent MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and the Mac Mini are not part of the promo. Meanwhile, for Apple's smartphone models, to qualify for a free pair of Beats Solo3, customers need to buy any of the following: iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus.

Apple's one-day sale will begin on Jan. 6, 2017, at 8 a.m. local time and will only be valid for physical stores. However, Apple's promotion will only be available in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Singapore. According to 9To5Mac, although Apple is also celebrating the Chinese New Year in Malaysia, they are not extending the promo for customers there.

Apple's one-day sale promo also comes with a gift guide, offering some of the hottest items for the Chinese New Year. The New Year-themed products feature the color variations red and gold. In fact, the color red symbolizes good luck and prosperity in many Asian cultures, per AppleInsider.

Among the products included are accessory items like the limited-edition DJI Phantom 4 drone, Apple Watch Sport Band, iPhone cases, a lion dance LionBot kit, and many more. Apple is also pushing for Chinese New Year iMessage sticker packs and other Chinese greetings.

Apple celebrated the Chinese New Year last year by launching 2 exclusive Apple Watch Sport models that came in dark red bands. For those not familiar with the Chinese New Year, it is a festival celebrated at the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar, not the common calendar used by most countries. The Chinese New Year for 2017 will kick off on the Jan. 28.
