Free Game Lineup For Sony’s PlayStation Plus 2017; Includes ‘Day of the Tentacle Remastered,’ ‘This War of Mine’ & More!

The best offers are yet to come as Sony recently unveiled the lineup of free games ahead of their availability. The free games will be offered for PlayStation Plus members. There will be 6 games arriving on Jan. 3 and available across PS3, PS4, and PlayStation Vita. Check out the full roster of free games below.

Because of Sony's Cross-Buy, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 members will have access to more than just 2 games per piece. According to GameSpot, PS4 will have a total of 4 games.

The free games for PlayStation 4 include "Day of the Tentacle Remastered," Double Fine Productions' 2016 remaster of LucasArts' beloved 1993 adventure game. Players will have fun defeating the mad scientist Dr. Fred Edison's mutant monster tentacle that escaped from the lab and intends on taking over the world.

This is quite in contrast with the second free game "This War of Mine: The Little Ones," which is a subtitle for the console of "This War of Mine" by 11 Bit Studios, according to Polygon. This survival game first debuted in 2014. Players will keep a group of civilian survivors alive in the middle of a devastating war. The other two free game titles include "Titan Souls" and "The Swindle."

Meanwhile, PlayStation Vita will get "Day of the Tentacle," "The Swindle," and "Titan Souls" from Acid Nerve, a cross-buy with PS4, in addition to 10tons' "Azkend 2: The World Beneath." For PlayStation 3 users, they will receive "The Swindle" from Size Five Games and "BlazeRush" from Targem Games.

With less than a few days to go before these games become available, PS fans still have until next week to get their hands on December's choice of PlayStation Plus titles. These comprise "Invisible Inc.," "Stories: Path of Destinies," "Tiny Troopers Joint Ops," "Color Guardians," "Hyper Void," and "VVVVVV." The six games will be up for grabs for free when the PlayStation Store refreshes for the first time in January, Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017.
