LG Levitating Portable Bluetooth Speaker With PJ9 Which Will Be Showcased During The CES 2017

In a few days time, 2017 will be at our doorstep and the opening of Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 will commence. Just like most manufacturers, LG wants to stay on top of its game by riding on the CES to unveil its levitating portable speaker.

In a recent press release, LG announced its latest innovative product, the new PJ9 Portable Speaker. Who wouldn't want a Bluetooth speaker hovering mid-air while dishing out your favorite music?

Brian Kwon, CEO and President of LG Home Entertainment Company, said that their premium audio devices are not only eye-catching "but also communicates the message that LG is serious about bringing something different to the table." He added that the PJ9 Portable Speaker is just the beginning of LG's commitment to exploring new ideas and opening up the way for innovative designs for the company's audio products for their consumers worldwide.

The LG PJ9 Portable Speaker has a floating feature thanks to its Levitation Station that comes with the device. LG further explains that powerful electromagnets, which are housed inside the accompanying Levitation Station, allow the PJ9 speakers to hover in mid-air, as reported by 9to5Mac.

This isn't the only function of the Levitation Station. It also houses the subwoofer providing an impressive bass considering the relatively small size of the speakers. Further, the LG PJ9 Portable Speaker features a 360-degree omnidirectional speaker design and uses dual passive radiator technology producing flush mid-range tones and crisp, smooth highs, as detailed by Digital Trends.

In terms of durability, the LG PJ9 Portable Speaker is IPX7 compliant. This means that the device can survive being knocked off the Levitation Station as well as withstand unfavorable weather conditions when used outdoors. The LG PJ9 Portable Speaker can also connect to at least 2 Bluetooth devices at the same time.

When it comes to the battery life of the LG PJ9 Portable Speaker, the company has claimed that the device should survive up to 10 hours of battery life per charge. What's really impressive about the LG PJ9 Portable Speaker is that the speaker automatically descends on to its Levitation Station once the battery begins running low and charges instantly. Users don't need to keep watch all the time once the 8-hour mark has passed.

In other LG news, the company has also unveiled the LG ProBeam, designed for home cinema enthusiasts. This new laser projector claims to allow users to watch video despite being in a brightly-lit room. It has a slim design, weighing around 2.1kg. LG ProBeam is the industry's lightest Full HD laser projector.

Currently, there is no official data when the LG PJ9 Portable Speaker will be shipped or how much they will cost. However, LG will indeed be showcasing the innovative floating speaker during the CES 2017.
