Ryan Reynolds Okay And Happy With Deadpool To Have A Boyfriend? Will Character Have Male Onscreen Partner In Sequel?

Deadpool is the first pansexual superhero of Marvel Cinematic Universe and Ryan Reynolds, the actor who plays the role in the hit 2016 movie, said that he is happy to give the character a boyfriend. It is unclear, however, if the romantic onscreen partner of Deadpool will be seen in the show's sequel.

The Merc With A Mouth is a pansexual character meaning he is attracted to both men and women. This characteristic of Deadpool makes him stand out from the other superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and when Reynolds was asked about it, he said that what love is to Deadpool "may not be what love is to Batman" or other people. Reynolds continued to say that Deadpool is an outsider and this could be played up even more since he is an outsider in every form, shape, and way, Movie Fone reported.

Reynolds did say, however, that a male love interest will not be forced into the story. Fans of "Deadpool" know that Deadpool is in a happy relationship with Morena Baccarin's Vanessa. He said that the potential plot of Deadpool having a male partner will be in the movie only if the progression will allow it. He also said that Deadpool is not just in love with Vanessa because of her gender but he is in love with the character simply because he loves her, Independent reported.

As to the "Deadpool" future movies being alienated in other countries where gay rights are not tolerated, he said that if the movie will feature a male-to-male relationship, China won't be a problem since "Deadpool" is banned in China. Reynolds continued to say that he already has stories in mind for the other "Deadpool" movies beyond the 2018 movie that is set to be released.

Will you watch a "Deadpool" movie with a male partner for the superhero? "Deadpool 2" will be out this March 2, 2018.
